Oracle Night (Paul Auster)
Reading Paul Auster is like watching an entertaining film. It is entertaining, but you don't get so many "insights" or learn that much. It is, however, good fun, and you always want to know what's going to happen next.
As usual, he brings up some of his favourite topics: the importance of coincidence, isolation, some "fantasy" or mysterious things... in the usual New York environment. You won't be disappointed with this book, you won't get too excited either. Good to bring along on a trip.

Karo Ecke
A classic. Cosy, friendly, affordable places, and with a comfortable place outside, where you can look at all the people hanging around the Karoviertel and Marktstraße. Especially during the summer, of course.
In the evening they have DJs and it is always a place to hide when the world around is being evil to you.

Bauhaus-Archiv/Museum für Gestaltung
Do not believe that the archive has all the contents you would expect. Yes, they have all those nice paintings and objects, but they only show a small part of it. Which is very frustrating, especially when you're there and you look at the catalogue.
There are of course some interesting things to see, and perhaps some special exhibitions (this time, july 2008, it was Max Bill), so this is why it gets one (1) Astra. But it is definitely not worth the €6 entrance fee.
